What is AMIDS Scribe?
AMIDS Scribe is an AI-powered compliance documentation tool that generates customized NIST 800-53 policies, procedures, SSP sections, evidence checklists, and assessment checklists. It uses your answers about your organization to create tailored documents that are 80-90% audit-ready.
How does the preview work?
When you generate a document, you'll see a preview showing 25% of the content. This lets you evaluate the quality and relevance before purchasing. The full document is unlocked after purchase. You can preview one document type per day for free.
What are 'Reviewer Action' items?
Reviewer Action items are placeholders in generated documents where you need to add organization-specific information that we intentionally don't collect — things like IP addresses, system names, or internal URLs. This is a security feature to protect your sensitive data.
Will auditors accept AI-generated documents?
Yes. Our documents are grounded in authoritative NIST 800-53 source text and include review checklists. Auditors evaluate the content and accuracy of your documentation, not how it was initially drafted. You'll review and customize the documents before using them.
What's the difference between document types?
Policies describe WHAT you must do (high-level requirements). Procedures explain HOW to do it (step-by-step instructions). SSP Sections document WHERE controls are implemented (system-specific details). Evidence Checklists list PROOF needed for auditors. Assessment Checklists help you verify controls are working.
How many times can I regenerate a document?
Each purchase includes 3 generations per document — your initial generation plus two revisions if you want to update your answers and regenerate. Subscribers have unlimited regenerations within daily rate limits.
What control families are supported?
All 20 NIST 800-53 control families are supported: Access Control (AC), Awareness & Training (AT), Audit & Accountability (AU), Assessment, Authorization & Monitoring (CA), Configuration Management (CM), Contingency Planning (CP), Identification & Authentication (IA), Incident Response (IR), Maintenance (MA), Media Protection (MP), Physical & Environmental (PE), Planning (PL), Program Management (PM), Personnel Security (PS), PII Processing (PT), Risk Assessment (RA), System & Services Acquisition (SA), System & Communications Protection (SC), System & Information Integrity (SI), and Supply Chain Risk Management (SR).
Can I use this for FedRAMP or CMMC?
AMIDS Scribe currently focuses on NIST 800-53. Since FedRAMP and CMMC are based on NIST controls, our documents provide a strong foundation. Additional framework support is on our roadmap.
